We are proud to announce that Elements Restaurant has been selected for the 2013 Best of Redding Award by the Redding AwardA group of 8 people got up early morning from Seattle drove down to Oregon Coast, to Redding, CA for a overnight stop of a very long drive down back to California.

When we got to the hotel, the reservation desk guy said that our reservation for 2 rooms was cancelled. It was cancelled on July 11, our reservation was for July 19 and the reason for it is because our flight was cancelled. No one in our group ever cancelled the reservation.

There was no flights involved. I have a confirmation with hotels.com and it was never cancelled it was confirmed I had the email to prove it. After 20 mins of explaining our side the front desk person still insisting that the reservation was cancelled on July 11 I stepped out of the hotel to call hotels.com since I didn t have cell phone signal inside the hotel.

When I saw that I had a voicemail, the voicemail was from Win-River Resort and Casino, We just wanted to know that you are coming for your reservation for tonight, please call us back. I came back in the hotel and told the front desk guy to listen to the message from one of their employees.

The message was left on July 19 at 11:11 pm. He was shocked when he heard the voicemail. I explained to them that on the way here I didn t have any signal and I was sleeping just like all of us since it was a very long day. I told him, how is it possible that you said I cancelled our reservation on July 11 but yet someone from your hotel is calling me on Jul 19 regarding my reservation. Now, he was speechless and called his manager. His Manager came out, she didn t have anything different from what the front desk guy was saying, they don t know what happened.

Then after 40 minutes later they admitted to it that they gave away our hotel room.

That they don t have any rooms available anymore.

This all is going on after 13 hours drive. Exhausted. Angry.
